  3. Ah, cats. Love them and their many ways to dominate us. Even when enormously grateful for being rescued, as was our old cat, they are never servile.

  4. I'm an animal lover, and lost my cat a few years ago to feline diabetes. We gave him shots for 4 years before he had to be put down. Seems our animals get similar diseases to humans.

    Looks like a lovely book, Inger, will look forward to the review.

  7. Given that cats have staff rather than owners (like dogs), a day spent with a cat can be a peculiar. Even if the cat deigns to allow you to get close and make physical contact, you're just doing what you're expected to do by your boss.

    Dogs, on the other hand, . . . well, you have experienced the best of that. You understand the wonders of dogs!
