Sunday Morning Reflections

It rained in California,
for one day, one night, and into the morning hours.
Snow graced the mountains to the east,
for a short moment before sunrise.
Tiny blades of green grass
pushed through the sandy desert earth.
And I said a prayer of gratitude.

  4. That drought needs to give in to rain and more rain. Not enough to create problems, but just enough to begin a rainy season...and end the dry spell.

  5. I've been hearing about the drought on the news this past week--Every little bit of rain helps, but it does need to be more.

Hope you're doing well, Inger, and you're enjoying your Sunday!

  6. What a delightful picture and post. I could perhaps send you some snow from here; it might turn into rain on the way.

    Blessings and Bear hugs!

  13. Beautiful. I hope you are feeling much better now Inger, and I did reply to your comment on my 'post pals' post, just saying how great it would be if you could send something all the way from the Canyon, how exciting for a child! and Samsons big furry friendly face is enough to make anyones day. Take care. Hayley-Eszti

  15. Dear Inger, such wonderful news. NBC national news--Brian Williams--frequently talks about the drought in California. And isn't nature amazing that with that one rain, seeds sprout and grass emerges. Did you go outside and raise your face to the raindrops in thanksgiving? Peace.
