Interesting that, back in the day, what is now Sierra Madre had spectacular poppy fields. I lived there for a few years as a kid. Used to love hiking the Mt. Wilson trail and exploring the hills. I don't recall seeing any poppy fields!Spare Parts and Picshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17836657200014402380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3271959060195052715.post-32892627340682040092019-04-19T13:45:32.537-07:002019-04-19T13:45:32.537-07:00I love your beautiful photos of that area!!!I love your beautiful photos of that area!!!cat's mommahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16344011183738705628noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3271959060195052715.post-40103459132771683082019-04-19T09:39:35.824-07:002019-04-19T09:39:35.824-07:00Wow that is incredible. So ..I'm learning also about wildflowers in the deserts and the mountain areas. It's almost endless it seems. We have a botanical garden up here in the mountains off hwy 18 on the way to Running Springs and Big Bear .... "Heaps Peak" ...I went there just a few days ago and not very much is blooming yet. They have Pacific Dogwood trees that I'm so excited to go back and see if they are blooming in a week or so. sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03307968128182359860noreply@blogger.com
