Lots grow wild, but many are in domestic vineyards. In a good year with rain, they are about the size of a quarter. They are exceptionally sweet and make good wine and jelly. If I could get them picked, I see there is probably more than 10 gallon of good ones left, it's coming to the end of the season. Our neighbors have more vines than we do and last count they had 26 gallons! They freeze theirs and when they are all done, She packs them all up in dry ice and drives them to her son's house and they make wine.
Well, anyway, around here, we call them scups!Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02743921972328074980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3271959060195052715.post-3842775139019253042010-09-21T14:33:15.265-07:002010-09-21T14:33:15.265-07:00I'm glad to see you are still able to go for a...I'm glad to see you are still able to go for a walk despite the most recent accident. It is a wooded low-mountain region in Bavaria. It extends along the Czech border and is continued on the Czech side by the Bohemian Forest. Geographically the Bavarian Forest and Bohemian Forest are sections of the same mountain range. A part of the Bavarian Forest belongs to the Bavarian Forest National Park Park. The Bavarian Forest is a remnant of the Hercynian Forest that stretched across southern Germania in Roman times. It is the largest protected forest area in central Europe.
The Schwarzwald is a wooded mountain range in southwestern Germany.
