Inspired by Madsnapper Sandra
I once again try to capture a train through my rear view mirror while the front of it goes across the railroad crossing in front of me.
And this time, I succeed and manage to confuse myself. I intended to capture exactly this, but seeing my camera facing backwards in the mirror, I don't get it how the front end of the train shows up in front of me, up there in the right hand corner, as it goes over the railroad crossing. I guess I'm having a senior moment. I'm sure I'll figure it out later, so no need to explain it to me.
A cool picture though, right?

You didn't retreat from blogging after all. YAY! I love how those car mirrors play tricks -- well, not all the time!
ReplyDeleteoh, lordy! :) you're confusing us, too. :)
ReplyDeleteWOW good one Inger I love seeing the train and the mountain at the sametime. I LOVE this. B
ReplyDeleteEntirely Fun - and Confounding - Photo -
ReplyDeleteOh the Joy of it all . . . .
too funny, i was staring at the photo and trying to figure out how it did it and then read your words and you could not figure it out either. great shot.. and your are right, i would be firing my camera if i were waiting on that train.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ... at least you got it ...and it's fun to try to figure the rest out :)
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a cool picture.
ReplyDeleteVery cool shot!
ReplyDeleteHope you've figured it out by now :)
Frankly my dear, you have me confused too!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are here.
Great photo.Just enjoy it don't try to work it out.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried taking a self portrait in a mirror with another mirror behind you? Now THAT'S weird!!
ReplyDeleteHubs enjoyed that train moment. He was a locomotive engineer for about ten years (they call them 'hoggers') We like trains.
ReplyDeleteMirrors skew our reality, overlapping the two. Our mind can't believe what our eyes are seeing. Interesting photos result, like double-exposures. Isn't photography fun?
OMD...you just confused me too! Maybe somebuddy should explain it to me...hehehehe.
ReplyDeleteIt awesome you finally got to capture the train. We have a train in the back of our yard.

ReplyDeleteJust amazing photo!!
ReplyDeleteWow, confuses me too! I'd be likely to run right into the train if I tried this while driving lol.
ReplyDeleteVery cool pic!
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny. When I was a kid I used to walk round the house with a mirror under my eyes. It looked as if the ceiling was the ground. I was a strange child!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a cool picture! I have problems with mirrors, myself. I never could curl my hair in front of a mirror, the curlers would get all twisted. :D
