I love this rusty old wheelbarrow from Italy. The way it sits there in the sun, ready to be loaded up with wood. My personal rust photographer, Jane, sent me this picture.
It's interesting, I haven't felt inspired to write a story for a long time now, but looking at this old thing, sitting in the midst of all that wood, started my imagination working again. Oh, well......
Thank you, Jane.
We had a wheelbarrow that was my grandfathers. We gave it away when we moved because my husband didn't think he needed it anymore.
ReplyDeletedaddy had one just like it... I should tell the story of my SIL and I hauling sand for cement. that popped in my head. I love rust also
ReplyDeleteYou should go with your feelings....and write a story my friend! It would be uplifting! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI had a metal wheelbarrow for years until the rust turned into holes. I now have a Rubbermaid one that will last longer than me. I, however, liked my old one better.
ReplyDeleteWrite while you are in the mood. It will make you feel good.
There are stories in that old wheelbarrow. Let one out and have fun with it.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a lovely portrait. Rustic farmhouse art! The sun adds to the beauty as well.
ReplyDeleteLooks a lot like my wheel barrow. : )
ReplyDeleteI will look forward to reading the story the wheelbarrow inspires! Rust like bark can really be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love that wheelbarrow too! I hope that you write a story :)
ReplyDeleteMy old rusty wheelbarrow was full of holes and broke and it was replaced by a yellow plastic one that was salvaged and bolted to the strong old wheelbarrow frame. It works great. I'm looking forward to reading your next post.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Julia
Oh, the adventures this wheelbarrow has seen!
