As the moon rises over a smoky landscape, it's clear that we are beginning to pay the price for how we have lived our lives. Careless with cars, plastic, air travels, and all the rest. Probably just a small price now, but arriving sooner than we thought. Only to grow in size and consequence in years to come.
Many of us are doing better, some of you are fantastic when it comes to protecting our earth through your daily life actions.
I'm not that good, but I'm a work in progress.
We should all aim to be at least that.
Hi Inger - yes ... I think we're all doing what we can - the message from big business and governments have not been taking any responsibility for the knowledge they've had about we're doing to the planet. Just enjoy all that you can ... take care and stay safe - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteso true and here in our town, no one wants to work and because they can't find drivers, our recyle is not being picked up, which means it goes in the dump
ReplyDeleteThe earth is but a shadow of what it used to be, so sad.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Julia
I just hope we haven't crossed the tipping point for our beautiful blue plant. I think most of us listened but big business just found it too profitable to keep doing thing the same way.
ReplyDeleteAter reading your comments, I feel bad I didn't mention big business in my post. We, the people, are pretty small in comparison. The smoke was there when I wrote it and I thought about my own responsibility. I have been far from perfect, sadly. But, of course, what I've lacked can in no way compare to the damage done by big business. Not that it makes me feel any better.
ReplyDeleteA lovely photo. I'm just a passing through this old world on my way to heaven. :) While I'm here I'm doing my best to be a good steward with what God has given me.
ReplyDeleteI think my comment disappeared. Trying again to note that Hubby and I are a work in progress, too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise!
ReplyDeleteWell, I distinguish between pollution of the planet which badly affects our health, and climate change which, to my mind is little affected by pollution; it's entirely God's domain, in His hands.
We're all a work in progress, some more than others!
ReplyDeleteI try to do my part but I think the majority of danger to this planet comes from heavily populated countries like India and China.
ReplyDeleteWe are all a work in progress. ❤❤
ReplyDeleteyes.
ReplyDeletewe as the entire human race have trashed our beloved planet to its breaking point.
That is a nice photograph.
ReplyDeleteI do my best to play my part but I worry about what sort of world, and what state it will be in, when the grandchildren and their children grow up!
All the best Jan
