Update on Tumbleweeds, Me, and My Hubby

The tumbleweeds were much worse this morning, all the way to the top of the gate and blowing over it. I'm very fed up with the winds.

As far as fire hazard goes, I am glad the weeds are finally blowing off the field you see in the background. The field  goes all the way to the main road through the canyon. I was really worried about the fire hazard last summer with all those dry weeds in such a large field, so close to home.

So I'm glad they're on their way out of there, but now what do I do? I did nothing this morning as I was determined that Samson and I had to walk for one hour. He is on a serious diet now, but I know that the main problem is not enough exercise, so we are working on both. And I get some huge benefits from it too.

This is how it looked coming back. It's still there, I guess I will fix it later.

I just had to post something to thank you for you comments and your good wishes for my husband's hands. That's so nice of you. They are much better, but there's one thing about my hubby, he works best when its sunny and hot, being from the South. Since it is so cold and dark, I suspect his hands will be resting today as well. I will let him know about your good wishes for him though. I know he doesn't really get this blogging thing, but he's good about it.

I, on the other hand, love this weather, so I'm off to polish my bookcases and other furniture. Everything gets so dry in this climate, so my wood needs some Old English Polish. Have a great day, and thank you so much again.
