I never saw that quote before, but it was something like that that brought me up into these woods and mountains more than thirty years ago. I'd say he was right.
Thoreau was right! But, Inger, you also see the light in Nature. Your posts are like beacons of light that touch all of us. Inger, I'm sending you and your family lots of positive thoughts and the warmest of wishes that the joy of this special Christmas season lingers forever in the heart. (Thank you for your kind words . . . I'm blushing!)
So true and those of us who live in the country sometimes fail to appreciate all its wonders. Today in Castle Pines, Colorado, it snowed lightly but gave the pine trees a gentle white dusting. Merry Christmas to you and your family, Inger.
I hope you have a beautiful Sunday! It's a little overcast here right now which is nice for a change! Sweet hugs, Diane

ReplyDeleteLovely header!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Thoreau - love the photo!
ReplyDeleteWell I think when you see beauty such as that - it does make you in touch with God and all that he can do!
ReplyDeleteReally like your header and Henry always managed to see the truth and could sum it up in a few words.
ReplyDeleteI think Thoreau was onto something.....
ReplyDeleteI never saw that quote before, but it was something like that that brought me up into these woods and mountains more than thirty years ago. I'd say he was right.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful picture and a very wise quote. Like many others, I have been heavily influenced in my life choices by Thoreau.
