The Joy Of Coloring ~ Post No. 2

I thought of my blogger friend Sandy as I colored these  houses. Sandy lives on another mountain in Southern California and has a couple of blogs. This is the one I follow,

on it Sandy writes short stories, charming, sometimes quirky  stories, accompanied by her sketches.

She has another blog full of photos of houses. Which is why she came to my mind as I colored these. I could wish that I was talented enough to also draw them but, alas, I'm not. So I'm grateful for my coloring books, thank you Judy, as they provide peaceful times in a not so peaceful world.

I love Sandy's blog, please check it out.

  1. I enjoy coloring also and have bought a few books. I find it fun and calming.

  2. When my kids were little I used to take their coloring books and crayons into the bathroom, lock the door and color for a while. It's was a stress reliever for me back then. Unfortunately, not so much now!

  3. That looks like a lot more fun than the current adult coloring books. I kind of save mine for power outages but pandemics should qualify also.

  4. My sister in law who passed away just recently after complications following a stroke, was big on coloring and I have inherited all her coloring books. Recently, I haven't had any time to color and fill my heart with the color from nature as I spend most of my spare time outside.

    Enjoy your coloring books.
    Hugs, Julia

  5. Coloring is a great pastime and very enjoyable for most people. My coloring book is PicMonkey and are there software I love to play in software like you like the color I must say if I did color it would not be as good as you do I don't stay in the lines as well. We all need something that we like to do that eases our stressful life

  6. Hello dear Inger,
I am glad with your comment!
I hope all is well with you.
Sandy is also my blog friend and she is a very nice person.
    I enjoy your coloring!
Sending to you lots of hugs and Love too.

  7. I love your colouring Inger- very Scandinavian :) And your friend's blog is great fun - fabulous drawings - I'm in awe of people who can draw.

  8. I've always liked to color and have never stopped! :)

  9. My daughter, who is 19 years old, loves coloring. She says it is very relaxing for her!

  10. Thanks so much for the shout out! It's funny but the day after i saw your feathers colored, I was cleaning out some boxes and I found two really cool coloring books one was butterflies and another was eco stuff, plants, etc. I plan on playing with these some day. Hope you are having a good week and thanks again for your kind words.

  11. Sandy is so cool and so talented! I have been a follower of hers for many years now.
I like your coloring book. being a minimalist... all I've ever seen are way too BUSY!
just too much. they make me dizzy. but I love the clean almost Scandinavian look of yours.
I could enjoy that one very much. I always loved to color as a child! very relaxing.

  12. I'm in favor of everything that gives one joy and relaxation. Coloring is definitely one of those things.
I do like the displayed result of your coloring activity.

  13. It is good to see peaceful times like this!

  14. Hi Inger - those books look delightful and fun for you to colour in. For some reason it's not for me - but I know many just quietly sit and colour ... take care - Hilary
