The Joy Of Coloring ~ Post No. 2

I thought of my blogger friend Sandy as I colored these  houses. Sandy lives on another mountain in Southern California and has a couple of blogs. This is the one I follow,

http://ayearofsandyskeches.blogspot.com/

on it Sandy writes short stories, charming, sometimes quirky  stories, accompanied by her sketches.

She has another blog full of photos of houses. Which is why she came to my mind as I colored these. I could wish that I was talented enough to also draw them but, alas, I'm not. So I'm grateful for my coloring books, thank you Judy, as they provide peaceful times in a not so peaceful world.

I love Sandy's blog, please check it out.

  2. When my kids were little I used to take their coloring books and crayons into the bathroom, lock the door and color for a while. It's was a stress reliever for me back then. Unfortunately, not so much now!

  3. That looks like a lot more fun than the current adult coloring books. I kind of save mine for power outages but pandemics should qualify also.

  4. My sister in law who passed away just recently after complications following a stroke, was big on coloring and I have inherited all her coloring books. Recently, I haven't had any time to color and fill my heart with the color from nature as I spend most of my spare time outside.

    Enjoy your coloring books.
    Hugs, Julia

  5. Coloring is a great pastime and very enjoyable for most people. My coloring book is PicMonkey and are there software I love to play in software like you like the color I must say if I did color it would not be as good as you do I don't stay in the lines as well. We all need something that we like to do that eases our stressful life

  10. Thanks so much for the shout out! It's funny but the day after i saw your feathers colored, I was cleaning out some boxes and I found two really cool coloring books one was butterflies and another was eco stuff, plants, etc. I plan on playing with these some day. Hope you are having a good week and thanks again for your kind words.

  14. Hi Inger - those books look delightful and fun for you to colour in. For some reason it's not for me - but I know many just quietly sit and colour ... take care - Hilary
