Sunday Morning Reflections

Baby Samson and Angel, from winter 2009

Sleep is...sore labor's bath,
balm of hurt minds, great nature's second course.

                                                                     ~ William Shakespeare

I would like to add this: How sweet it is to see Samson's love and trust in my old female dog. She certainly helped to raise him to be the good dog he is today and always.

    1. I did too, not only did I love her so very much, but I also fell in love with the breed. Had I been younger and started out with dogs that I picked myself, they would all have been German shepherds. I never knew they had a sense of humor until I lived with Angel.

  13. that is a heart warming picture.
and how wonderful that the White House will have two German Shepherds now!
Champ their beloved 7 year old and Major... rescued from a shelter by Mr Biden.
Major was in the Delaware shelter with 8 or more little puppies that were abandoned.
he is now healthy and full of vim and vigor and so excited to be First Dog! XOXO
