Hi Inger - great quote at the beginning of Spring ... trees are quite extraordinary ... as is all nature. Then all the life below ground amongst the roots ... so many tales to tell over the decades or centuries ... that's a glorious looking tree too - well established. Cheers - Hilary
No, it's at the end of the valley, farther away from the desert below. There's a small lake there. Totally different nature, including birds. When I get my new car I will visit there again.
I love the shape of this tree. It has character and I'm wondering why the grass is longer just under in the front. Is there someone or perhaps an animal buried underneath it? The ground seems to be more fertile in that spot. Hugs, Julia

DeleteThis is a beautiful old one, with so much character. What is the pile of rocks, the corner of a wall? We love Gibran!
ReplyDeletePerfect. You make me want to find Gibran's book that got lost in a move.

Desert trees have to be so tough. That looks like an old survivor, beautifully rugged.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and a happy and blessed Sunday to you.
ReplyDeleteKahlil Gibran has words that are beautiful, and the ones you chose fit the tree, the hill and a pile of stones perfectly.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful photo with a beautiful quotation.
ReplyDeleteLove,
