It's amazing that the old tree is still producing some foliage even though parts of it has died. I always think of trees as giving trees. They give beauty, shelter for the birds to build their nests and raise their little ones. They give us shade and even shelter from the wind and the wood can be used to make furniture or usable items like kid's toys and sleds and wooden spoons to stir our food, even bowls to hold our fruits, and then they give us wood to warm our home and sometimes, cook our food. Some gives us fruits and nuts to eat and I shouldn't forget that they also clean the air. I almost forgot that they also are used to produce paper for books, calendars, and a million other uses.Hurrah for trees.
Julia said it! and so beautifully too. trees are sacred to me. and I feel this one is old and has survived much in its life. and yet it's still Here! xo
