Sunday Morning Reflections ~ War

War

I saw a child torn and bleeding

I weep for him

it's so wrong to see a child in a war

suffering from what man has started

The child looked around

I could see fear, pain

and a questionmark on his face

He wants to know why

caught in-between a grownup's war

  1. We never should have been there. Or anywhere. I used to believe them when they said we had to go in to this place or that. But now, no. Dear God, forgive us.

I hate that these words are as pertinent today as they were then.
I love that you reminded us of them... YAM xx

  3. War is Hell! that is a truth that can't be disputed. I belive it is necessary to fight back and to join in helping others who are under attack. If USA had not entered the war there would be no jews left alive and the world would have been under Hitler all over the world. its ok to sit here in safety and say don't help them, but what if it was under attack and no one helped.

  4. In wars, there are no winners, just suffering and destruction but people must fight to defend themselves and their country when they are under attack. War mark poor little defenceless children for life. God have mercy on them.

Let there be peace and let it begin with me.

    Hugs,
    Julia

  5. The Ukraine situation is too upsetting, too sad, too heartbreaking for me to even begin to try and understand. The only tiny piece of good news was seeing some animals being taken to safety.Otherwise I do not look or listen to the war news now.I wish I could help, but feel totally helpless .Those words from long ago, how could they get to be true again.

The war makes me so sad, I can not imagine how a child living in a war zone feels right now. My prayers go out to the people of Ukraine. I wish for peace around the world.
Take care, I hope you are having a good day.

  9. so sad. War.. Amazing how the "leaders" can send young people into war while they go hide in their safe spaces. They create war and then come up with the solution - fight the war but they''re not putting their lives at risk.
