Charcoal drawings can be messy to do (we had to use charcoal in my life drawing classes when I studied art), but it does allow modeling of the features.

Dear Inger, I'm so glad that you have been sharing Fishducky's work with us on your blog. She has captured the essence I think in the eyes of those two boys and in their expressions.
I really enjoyed showing something so completely different from Fishducky's stained glass and pen-and-ink drawings. I love these two boys and you are right, their eyes have such depth of emotion.
