Charcoal drawings can be messy to do (we had to use charcoal in my life drawing classes when I studied art), but it does allow modeling of the features. Very nice illustrations you've featured, Inger. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work - I especially like the first one ...
Thank you for this post, Inger! Those two are among my favorites, too.
the second one is beautiful.
The eyes are haunting - excellent capture of emotion with just paper and charcoal!
That is enchanting...very 'soul-filled' and yes, the eys are so dynamic!
Very nice. I don't have an ounce of artistic ability in me.
Dear Inger, I'm so glad that you have been sharing Fishducky's work with us on your blog. She has captured the essence I think in the eyes of those two boys and in their expressions. Peace.
Wow, that is just stunning. You can see into the eyes.
Fishducky is so talented!
Thank you so much for sharing Fishducky's work. It's as though you can see into the soul of each boy.

Thank you, everybody! Your comments made my day!!
I really enjoyed showing something so completely different from Fishducky's stained glass and pen-and-ink drawings. I love these two boys and you are right, their eyes have such depth of emotion.
Fishducky has talent! I am amazed by the subtlety caught in the expressions on the boy's face. Wow!
