71 years
me at 72

As I connected the dots between these two pictures, I saw the canvas of my life spread out before me. For a moment I felt sad, so much of it gone. However, living in America for the past 50 years, I have learned to take a good look at a lemon or two and make lemonade. The Swedish part of me tends to be a bit more gloomy, but that's another story.

All those years, all that happened, the stories of my life. I have no desire to examine my earlier life here, but I would love to tell some stories of my adventures. I don't claim to be a great story teller or even a good writer of this, my second language, but I love to write and that's enough for me.

And that's the reason I changed the blog template. I like the black background for pictures, but I'm not crazy about reading in white on black. I also reorganized my sidebar; I was getting tired of all the clutter. You will find stuff at the bottom of my blog and more things from the sidebar may end up there in the future. I just want a cleaner look. Hope you like it.

  3. I prefer blogs that are easier to read. A lot have text so small and similar in color to background they are hard to read. Just be sure to keep your wonderful header pictures.

  11. Thanks for the compliments. My 72-year old smile would have been much better if I hadn't tried to cover up that missing tooth.
With that nose, there's no mistaking me. Ack, a perfect Swedish nose it is, often compared to a certain kind of vegetable.

  20. Dear Inger, I like the new look. Thank you so much for keeping Dulcy's two books pictured on your blog at the bottom. That was extremely generous and kind of you.

Does this posting mean that you are going to begin to tell us stories of your life's adventures? If so, I'm eager to read them. Right away! And Write away! Peace.
