When I see dilapidated barns or just old barns, I imagine its past and want to capture it. Why? It must be the resonance of simpler times. Decay is part of life, too.
I wish more people would use the world gently. Too many places have been stripped. Too many people have short-range thinking.
Dear Inger, thank you for the evocative photograph and for the poem. The touch of our culture on the planet has not been gentle. In fact, most of the industrialized world has been touch on the planet. I so hope the Green Movement gentles us. Peace.
