  4. this is Awesome, I love the bells the stone wall the church the cactus and the bougainvillea NOW that said. remember I am Challenged In Geek Stuff. you sent me your email, i put it in my contact list, even put the name of your blog with it and it is NOT THERE on either computer. i must have done it and not SAVED...how could that happen.

  6. Beautiful photo, Inger! I was born and raised in New Jersey but lived in California for 20 years until my husband’s job was transferred to the DC area in ‘96. I loved CA and I loved visiting the missions. Thank you for sharing!

  7. Dear Inger, I'd so enjoy visiting the missions built by the Franciscans in California and New Mexico. When people have prayed in a place for many years--like the cathedrals of Europe--and have brought their hopes and dreams, fears and tragedies, joy and sadness to the sanctuary, there is a feeling of Presence. We are then, I think, connected to all those who have gone before us. Thank you for this evocative photograph. Peace.

  11. Thank you all for your comments. I am so glad you liked the picture. I have some more. I spent several days down there in 2004 and the pictures were on that disk I found in a drawer. Sometimes it pays off to clean your drawers!!
