Busy trying to capture the locomotive as it went by, I completely missed the nice composition of the red highlights in this picture.
I'm always so thrilled when something I didn't see appears to make a picture so much better. Does this happen to you too?

ReplyDeleteWe get the BNSF up here in New Westminster, BC, too.
ReplyDeleteYes, Inger, that happens to me too. The photo will show us the details that our eyes gloss over.
Hubs likes any train. . .
Love hearing the train whistle in the distance that goes by our rural area right around 7 pm.
ReplyDeleteHej där borta!

all that red is perfect and I thought you meant it to be that way... yes it does happen to me. i go into snapper frenzy and sometimes get a pleasant surprise like this one. and sometimes a not so pleasant surprise. those are the ones i use delete on
ReplyDeleteYou love surprises in pix like I do, Inger!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Inger! Sometimes you just don't have the time to 'compose' the shot. I like the angle and direction of the train and truck.
ReplyDeleteIt is a surprise when we get these 'bonuses' that we didn't see.
They eye does not catch all the beauty, at times. That's why I love cameras.
ReplyDeleteAll the time, Inger! I'll be looking at one aspect, snap a picture then look at it later and BAM ~~ there it is something totally unexpected and very welcome.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
Ron
It is a great photo, and idoes happen to me too -- The opposite happens too unfortunately!
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well!!
I love when surprises like that happen - nice photo!
ReplyDeleteI always take photos of the trains as they go by the "Mormon rocks" at the 138 off the 15 freeway. I love photographing trains.
I actually rarely get photos that awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe photo is intriguing. A serendipitous event, indeed. Well done.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw the title, I thought you had done something artistic with Samson's fur. An obvious error in my part. I knew you were far too reasonable to do something with your own hair.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Amazing picture, Inger!
ReplyDeleteYes, it happens to me too...
All the time - and i love when it happens, esp. here in your photo!
