After a summer of eternal sunshine and only one rain storm, a cloudy day becomes such a treat and such an inspiration. And when the sun comes out right before sunset, the light becomes irresistible, and I hurry out to capture it, as it only lasts a moment.
just love those contrasts and those canyon colors. thank you for sharing them. :)
ReplyDeleteI was going to use the same word...contrast! What a beautiful sky and landscape! WOW!
ReplyDeleteVery nicely captured. the contrast is lovely.
ReplyDeletethat is glorious light. i love the dark clouds, the bright gold light, the dark shadows on the sand... really beautiful
ReplyDeleteThe light is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteContrast seems to be the key word here, I always enjoy the scenes nature provides us with. Lovely series of photos. Thanks for becoming a follower on my Book Review blog, much appreciated and I hope you will find it interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe contrasts are magnificent, Inger, absolutely magnificent! And those clouds are headed our way -- will look to see if they contrast so beautifully with our colorful trees.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for your encouragement. A-Z is now #1 for regional books and ebooks and at #22 for memoirs. Yesterday was such an exciting day!
Beautiful photos as always.
ReplyDeleteI love how you capture the beauty of the desert with your camera.
ReplyDeleteI can see it is very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I especially like the one you chose for your header photo.
ReplyDeleteAre your desert storms quick? Once we were visiting friends in Desert Hot Springs, CA and a quick shower came up. The raindrops would evaporate on my arm before it felt wet. (this was in September not Nov, though) That was a strange feeling.
ReplyDeleteYou've captured the starkness in the storm cloud and the warmth of the land in sunlight. Good eye.
What beautiful pictures and country side!
ReplyDeleteLovely--but I knew your photos would be!!
ReplyDeleteThe light really is extraordinary, Inger. I love the shadows, too. I really do think the desert landscape is always beautiful, but I'm sure having it a little cooler affords more outdoor time. Drink in the cool! :-) Debra
That is some gorgeous light!
ReplyDeleteInger, capturing the hues of light was worth it!!!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteI Can see why you dashed out to capture the light as it went down - lovely the brooding clouds .. the colours do change so much don't they ..
ReplyDeleteCheers Hilary
