My Theme for the A to Z Challenge: Desert Canyon Living
Glorious moments abound in the canyon,
from a long view on a winter's day to
a sunrise in spring ,
a brief moment in time when the grass is green and
wildflowers cover fields and hillsides.
Samson's first howl, a glorious sound,
imitating so well the call of the wild.
A simple dinner prepared with love by my husband,
a fire in the wood stove,
a good book to read,
as the day draws to a close.
All glorious moments of my life in the canyon.
Henry David Thoreau wrote:
"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."
P.S. A little snow fell here last night; the grass and wildflowers are dusted with snow this morning.
