Foto Friday

Couldn't resist when I saw this in the parking lot of our local grocery store.

I enjoyed my week off, but I still feel that I haven't looked at anywhere near all the blogs I wanted to visit, done half the chores I wanted to do, written all I wanted to write, and so on. That's life, I know that, but still frustrating. Auntie and Uncle in New Orleans rode out the storm OK. Thanks for keeping them in your thoughts. They are indeed a beautiful couple, still in love, and it doesn't get much better than that.

  1. glad to hear they are ok, we are watching the coverage on the storm, it is really bad. now it looks like it is headed to the states in drought and will cause flooding. hope you are safe and sound. i never get all done that i want to, or even the things that are needed to be done. i just ran my finger over the top of a framed photo on the hall wall and almost fainted at what i saw. dirt not dust

  3. I would not be able to resist taking a pic of that vintage piece, if I had my camera with me. I am so behind when it comes to getting new gadgets. Darn medical bills.
I am glad that your Auntie and Uncle are doing good.
For some reason I am not able to bring myself up to writing. Seems like the writing part of my brain has slowed down so much and I am only sixty two. I am hoping that I can start writing pretty soon as it is so cathartic. I am hoping to see more of your blogs too:)

  8. I asked around & got this reply:
"It looks like a Plymouth from the early 40’s, based on the grill."

  11. I must have looked for a name on the car, but didn't find one. Or maybe I didn't. Getting old is such fun! I don't remember, in other words.

  12. You're right it doesn't get any better than that, and I'm also glad they are safe!!

PS: You're right, there isn't enough time in the day or a week to do all you'd like! Take care, and enjoy your weekend!!

  19. Dear Inger, I'm glad to learn that your aunt and uncle-in-laws weathered Isaac. For the past two days we here, in this extreme/exceptional drought area, have had the residual effects of Isaac--RAIN. For us, it's the first real rain in almost a year. It's so strange to me that something that harms one person or area can bring good to another. Life truly is Mystery. Peace.
