I don't know if this picture makes any sense, I mean if it's OK or just a picture of a really tired tree. Sometimes I feel like this too, a little bit tired around the edges.
The night following the spring pictures I posted, it was 24 F here in the canyon. I don't know how the trees fared, I hope they are OK. That's what happens in the mountains. Snow can come as late as June here.
We are going on a road trip (as we like to call it) today. Just down to Bakersfield, but for the Wrangler, not for me. It needs to be serviced. The battery on my camera just ran out so I'll leave it at home, darned..... I usually keep some extra, but, not this time.
Hi Inger .. I love the gnarled twisted branches of your Juniper tree - it's full of life I expect ... probably in better shape than we are!
ReplyDeleteHope the car is fixed, battery charged and ready for the Easter weekend ... cheers Hilary
That looks to me like a healthy juniper that sprawling - they spread out like that when the going gets tough in order to survive - "dropping" unnecessary branches and promoting the strongest branches in order to catch sunlight for photosynthesis... kinda like us ;)
ReplyDeleteSometimes we all feel like sprawling out like your Juniper, Inger! I did that today when I got home from the gym!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteTHAT is COLD COLD!!!! Sometimes we all feel tired likes dat tree...even me.
ReplyDeleteI is so glad da Jeep be gettin' serviced and not you...hehehe.
Puddles
That tree has character!!
ReplyDeletewe dipped below freezing last night and again expected for tonight - but 30+. 24 is a bit brisk!
ReplyDeleteI do like this picture. Sorry your battery ran out. I always hate when that happens.
ReplyDeleteI'm tired, too. Around the edges and even in the middle.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I hate it when the battery dies on anything and I haven't got a replacement ready. (But especially my camera or a flashlight.)
ReplyDeleteOh that Feral woman knows what she is talking about. I feel old today:)
ReplyDeleteHope you had fun on the rod trip.hug B
Maybe the tree is just taking a few days off . . .
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I love the gnarly tree! It's beautiful and suits the canyon, I'm sure. Those temperatures sure do dip, don't they! Hope you had a nice road trip today. :-) Debra
ReplyDeleteI feel like that some mornings. Snow in June--wow. We did have flurries here yesterday and it is really cold and windy. So much for Spring.
ReplyDeletelife is certainly like this tree, all twisted and twirled and can't tell what comes next. glad it is the wrangler that needs a tune up and not you. phooey on the camera battery
ReplyDeleteI think we all have those "tired" days Inger....as a matter of fact Sunday was just like that.
ReplyDeleteRon
I hope the road trip perks you right up, and you feel like a sapling.
ReplyDeleteDear Inger, I suspect you could write a poem about that tree that seems "tired" to you. The poet's in you. Peace.
