Spring Has Arrived in Town

Our town is big on ornamental trees that bloom for a week or two in spring. I was surprised to see that they were already in full bloom when I was in town on Tuesday, so yesterday, I brought my camera.

This and the first picture are from the parking lot at Albertson's Supermarket.

I took a couple of street scenes out the car window. The whole town is full of amazing looking flowering trees.

A final picture of the store parking lot. Other than that, we are all doing well and hope you are too.

  2. How beautiful! Thank you for the promise of Spring - we are told to expect several inches of snow this weekend. I bought myself a second coat so i could take my favorite one up to the cleaners - for some repair - I've worn it so much - some of the inside seams have come undone . . it's too cold outside to do without . . so, now like a wealthy lady - i have two coats. Happy Day to You!!!

  10. That is a sure sign of Spring or could be. My flowering pear right now is draped in snow. Winter isn't quite done with us here yet.

  12. look at those beautiful skies. Ornimental plums and cherries are fantastic. I always love when there is a big wind near theend of their bloom and it snows pink and white petals

Speaking of clear skies, have you been out after sundown to try to spot thecoment high in the west skies?

  14. We have some flowering trees in Vancouver, but we also had hail this morning, from an unsettled sky. That fickle spring weather in the rainforest. . .

  15. Hi Inger .. the blossom is always wonderful to see ... at the moment the north is snowbound (badly!), the west is swamped in rain, and here we're just plain cold and waiting for a little of slush stuff to arrive ..

We have some blossoms out, some daffs, crocuses and snowdrops - wonderful to see ...

Love the blossom photos - and glad all is well your end of the world .. cheers Hilary

  16. Oh vad vackert!!! Det kan man vänta på hos oss. VI hade -16 grader imorse och med veckans 3 dm snö som vi fick lär våren vänta på sig.
Kan inte komma ihåg ens när vi hade snö i slutet på mars.....

  17. I can smell the fragrance. Such a beautiful time of the year. I suppose you still have some snow in the valley. I hear another snow storm is coming across the middle states.
Wish we could get some more snow. If not, another dry summer. Have a great weekend.

  20. Dear Inger, I feel as if I've lost touch with you--I've been reading blogs only sporadically during March and so have missed much of what you have written.

I do so want to follow your blog faithfully during the A to Z Challenge in April. Peace.

  22. Absolutely gorgeous! We have lots of pink and purple color, but not as many white blossoms. I love looking at the white against that gorgeous blue sky! I would have trouble keeping my eyes on the road! :-) Hope you are having a nice weekend, Inger. Debra

  23. Yes, it's always a lovely look when you see the spring trees. Nice photos! Our spring trees still look pretty ratty here, lots of buds, but no new leaves to speak of, and lots of broken branches and old leaves to be dealt with... (lots of wind this last season...)

  24. Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait for our spring to hit. Snow today, but I know, just know it's coming.

Sorry I haven't dropped by lately. Come to find out, a sleepy winter can have a roller-coaster, too!
