A Foggy Morning In The Canyon

Not sure why, but I really like this picture.

After I walked the dogs, I went back outside and took these photos. I love this weather, I'm so happy the long, hot summer is finally over with.

Looks like our changing climate now makes summer last into the middle of  October. I found a blogpost from mid-October 2010, where I'm dressed in winter clothes because the temperature was 18 F.

I took some selfies. Oh, well, this is the best one I could find -- an old Swede in a desert canyon, and loving it.

Have a Happy Weekend!

  1. Lovely post Inger - I'm so happy to see you enjoy the coming of the autumn/winter season ... fog can be beautiful! We've entered Autumn ... now with blasts of rain coming across - thankfully not all the time, as it is further north. Great photo of you ... the ageing gently Swede in the desert ... good description - happy one too. Cheers Hilary

  3. The first picture shows peacefulness - of weather, of sky, of landscape. That's what we want in life.

  13. Your very own growing Christmas Tree outside your home ... how excellent. Yes, the blistering heat is just now cooling here, too. It came with tornadoes that destroyed the homes of several of my friends. :-( Louisiana certainly tests its inhabitants! But Life anywhere seems to do that lately. You, Samson, and Faith stay well.

  19. Hi human friend, Ojo here! I love the fog - it carries so many smells! Your home has gone from hotter than our home to colder than our home! But we also have the fog. I like your selfie, if I were there I would give you a lick!

  21. Good to see the photo of you in the desert, and the desert scenes which capture a mood of silence and remoteness.
