I had planned to post a scary story of a bear gone wild here in the canyon today, but then I remembered this is a day to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I decided to stay quiet and post these pictures. The first photo shows that the sun has set in the west; the rest show that after the sun has set, it's light is still with us, if only for a brief moment. I am hoping that Dr. King's light will shine for more than a brief moment in time......
wonderfully done, inger. :)
ReplyDeletewhat a super connection Inger...
ReplyDeleteI believe the spirit of Martin Luther King shines as brightly & beautifully as any sunset--may it continue to shine in our hearts as long as we have sunsets.
ReplyDeleteMost excellent! Both the photos and the thoughts.

ReplyDeleteDear Inger,
ReplyDeleteFishducky expressed for me what your reflective photographs and your text made me feel. Thank you.
Peace.
You must have a good hammer and a steady aim. You always hit square on. I appreciate your words and pictures.'Love, Manzanita
ReplyDeleteBeautiful thoughts and pictures Inger. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words. I really appreciate them.
ReplyDeleteDr King's light will hopefully shine for a long, long time yet and I love the way the sun is caught by those hills (or are they mountains?) But I can't help wondering about that wild bear!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering about that bear too and will post what I know about it on Wednesday. That way I'm once again cheating on my book reviews, which is what I should be doing on Wednesdays. Oh, well, soon.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of the sunlight over the mountain! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a warm golden colour that is! I liked your analogy too, Inger.
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show you that sunsets anywhere are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAmen sister. Wonderful sunsets. You have such a beautiful area.
ReplyDeleteYou have peaked my interest about the bear. Will be back.
Very sweet, Inger.
ReplyDeleteOur sunset was nondescript this evening -- maybe didn't want to steal any attention from Dr. King's day. :)
Wonderful, calm pictures. Thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the deer in your sidebar.
What peaceful and beautiful pictures!
