Tuesday's Treasures ~ Fishducky's Art Corner

The Carson Mansion, Eureka, California
Pen and Ink Drawing by fishducky, AKA Fran Fischer

According to Wikipedia, the Carson Mansion in Eureka, California, is one of the most famous Victorian houses in the U. S. and thought to be the most grand. It is also one of the most photographed houses in the country. I have myself taken pictures of this fabulous American Queen Anne style home, which has housed a private club since 1950. Fishducky's drawing captures the incredible details of the master carpentry work that went into this beautiful Victorian mansion.  The Carson Mansion is the grandest Victorian house I have ever seen and fishducky's work of art does it justice in a way most photographs don't.

  10. Pencil and ink drawings really are two of my favourite mediums. In the 1980's I managed an art and drafting supply store where I learned so much about art, the process and artists. I loved reading and looking at the books on pen and ink. Thanks for triggering this memory! Ron

  13. this is making me crazy, i see i am gone again from your follower widget. i do have you in my reader for now but i am wondering what is up.
not twinkies! we give ours tiny last bites of some things but not all. no sugar no table scraps. i do though once a month when we have a Wendy's burger, i get a double and take one of the patties off and they get bites of that while we eat our burgers. we control their weight but i need someone to control mine. I like the Friday idea for your photos. I had a dog only blog, but it got to be to much work keeping two blogs, so now they are on my main blog.
