Sunday Morning Reflections

It rained in California, 
for one day, one night, and into the morning hours. 

Snow graced the mountains to the east, 
for a short moment before sunrise. 

Tiny blades of green grass 
pushed through the sandy desert earth. 

And I said a prayer of gratitude.
