A is for Archipelago

Theme ~ Good Things:

There are tens of thousands of islands in the Stockholm archipelago and that's where I spent my summers as a teenager. My dad, my brother, our dog Troika, and I toted around in a wooden motor boat. We put down anchor at small deserted islets, where we would pitch our tent, fish for our dinner, and cook it over an open fire. Summer months I will never forget.

  6. Loved the photos. I lost all my tangible memories when my home burned. But the heart memories are safe from flames. I love the expressions in those photos.

  8. Summers with family are really precious to me, and I am so glad you have wonderful ones as well. That is a great picture. (I bet your tent didn't have a kitten in it, however... Ahem. Mom still says I put it in there. I still say it knew how to get in...)

  11. Lovely memories, Inger. I love seeing the old photos. A closeup of that boat would have been great too. One day you should write a short story about one of those summer days. . .

  18. I love when you do these series. You and your brother were such good looking kids. I don't remember you mentioning him before; for some reason I pictured you as an only chld.
