Theme ~ My 50 Years in America
"I remembered that the real world was wide,
and that a varied field of hopes and fears,
of sensations and excitements, awaited those who
had courage to go forth into its expanse...."
--CHARLOTTE BRONTE, FROM JANE EYRE

ReplyDeleteand courage you had...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tex you are so brave to tackle the world like that not knowing what would be ahead you did great. Love that quote. HUGS B
ReplyDeleteBlack sheep are usually those that don't go along the routine road. They want to know what other places are like, if the people are the same, and they want to see things with their own eyes.
ReplyDeletePeople who 'go out into the world' add interest and sometimes inspiration for others who are a little less brave. Traveling broadens your understanding.
It's nice to know a fellow traveler, Inger.
You have experienced so much that the world has to offer, and you continue to do so and delight us by describing your world in your blog.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie

ReplyDeleteLovely quote.
ReplyDeleteHi Inger .. the wide wide world ... how much has changed, how small the world is today ... I think Charlotte Bronte's eyes would be on stalks if she could see the changes in the last 165 years ...
